Our alumni make us proud every day, by working hard and making a Kiddush Hashem in all areas of their lives. In yeshiva, college, and life, our graduates are equipped spiritually, intellectually and personally, to choose the path that’s right for them and follow it purposefully.
Alumni often cite the foundation they received at YOY as key to their success beyond high school. We recently caught up with Rabbi Shimon Yanovsky, class of 2018, who is thankful for the solid writing skills he honed while at YOY, as he pursues his law degree at Nova Southeastern University in Miami. Before embarking on a law degree, he spent a year as a bochur shliach at Yeshiva Torah Ohr in Miami, FL, and three years at the Rabbinical College of America-Lubavitch in Morristown, NJ, where he received semicha.
As he juggles his all-encompassing studies, Shimon still keeps in touch with his former menahel, Rabbi Feldman. Shimon even spent a recent summer helping YOY transition to a new space. Rabbi Feldman is proud that Shimon continues to be a real mentch and a great role model to others.
Great job, Shimon!
