11th Grade Israel Trip: A Journey of a Lifetime

Our 11th graders recently returned from an unforgettable week in Eretz Yisrael, accompanied by Rabbi Feldman and Rabbi Halpern. Every moment of this much-anticipated annual trip was filled with the beauty and kedusha of Eretz Yisrael, experienced firsthand by our talmidim.

From tefillah at the Kosel and Kever Rochel, to scenic hikes in the north and south, every day was filled with inspiration, bonding, and growth. A highlight of the trip was spending Shabbos with seven of our alumni currently learning in Eretz Yisrael, and visiting the yeshivos where they’re thriving.

The talmidim also had the opportunity to visit IDF soldiers, delivering warm wishes, words of encouragement, and packages of appreciation on behalf of our Yeshiva.

It was a week of powerful, transformative experiences—and no one wanted it to end. Our talmidim are already dreaming of their return!

Purim at the Yeshiva

The Yeshiva’s Purim mesiba was a masterpiece of creativity and camaraderie. With incredible ingenuity, the talmidim transformed the Beis Medrash into a full-fledged Rebbishe Tisch, complete with a custom-built dais where the Rebbeim presided over a lively, tish-like seudah. It was a perfect blend of shtick and tish—and every bit as entertaining as it sounds.

The celebration continued with spirited dancing, laugh-out-loud grammens, and a student-produced parody video that stole the show. It was a Purim to remember—pure simcha, talent, and achdus on display.

A Helping Hand for Pesach Prep

For the third year running, Yeshiva Ohr Yisrael and KVH Kosher are partnering to offer a valuable community service: kitchen kashering assistance in preparation for Pesach.

YOY seniors were trained by KVH in both the halachos and safe use of kashering tools, equipping them to help others with this often daunting task.

Students visit homes to assist with the kashering process—making Pesach prep smoother, easier, and a whole lot less stressful.

It’s chesed in action—and a meaningful way for our talmidim to give back to the community while putting their learning into practice.

Yeshiva Ohr Yisrael recently hosted two outstanding Pre-Pesach shiurim—now available to stream!
